The Spanish city of Teruel is preparing for its biggest weekend of the year as the Fiestas de la Vaquilla 2024 approaches.
From July 5-8, this small city of 35,000 residents expects to host over 100,000 visitors for four days of non-stop festivities.
The highlight of the event is on July 6, when the traditional 'pañuelo' (scarf) is placed on the iconic Torico statue.
The festival features over 400 activities, including bullfights, parades, fireworks, and the famous 'toros ensogados' (bulls on ropes) running through the historic city center.
With a mix of traditional bullfighting events and modern entertainment, the Vaquilla Festival showcases Teruel's rich cultural heritage and vibrant community spirit.
