The Spanish State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued a warning about an impending cold air mass moving from Europe towards the southwest, expected to reach the Iberian Peninsula and the Balearic Islands by Tuesday.

This weather phenomenon, likely to evolve into an isolated high-altitude depression or cold storm, is anticipated to bring a significant drop in temperatures and heavy, persistent rainfall.

The Mediterranean coast and the Balearic Islands are expected to experience the most intense precipitation, with potential snowfall in mountainous regions.

Rainfall could accumulate between 80-100 mm, and in some areas, exceed 200 mm.

The weather instability is forecasted to last until Saturday, with the possibility of unexpected developments.
