Cold Front Brings Winter Chill to Spain

Spain is bracing for a cold and wet weekend as a Depresión Aislada en Niveles Altos (DANA) sweeps across the country.

Starting Friday, temperatures are expected to drop significantly, with some areas experiencing a decrease of up to 10°C.

The cold front will bring widespread rain and thunderstorms, particularly affecting the northern and eastern regions, including Aragón, Catalonia, and the Balearic Islands.

Snowfall is anticipated in mountainous areas above 1,200 meters.

The weekend will see temperatures plummet below 15°C in many parts, with some regions dropping to near 5°C, especially in the interior.

The weather instability is expected to continue into next week, with ongoing rain and cold conditions, marking October as an unusually wet month for Spain.
