Judge Probes Alleged Job Favoritism

The investigation into David Sánchez, brother of Spain's Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, has deepened as new evidence emerges.

Judge Beatriz Biedma has summoned him for further questioning on April 25 regarding alleged irregularities in his 2017 hiring by the Diputación de Badajoz.

Evidence includes emails suggesting the job was prearranged and messages showing Sánchez sought housing in Badajoz before the hiring process concluded.

The judge also cited a former Moncloa advisor, Luis Carrero, for his alleged involvement in a similar hiring scheme.

The case raises questions about favoritism and transparency in public appointments.
