Judge Rejects Key Evidence in High-Profile Case

Supreme Court Judge Ángel Hurtado has rejected key evidence requests in the case against Spain's Attorney General Álvaro García Ortiz.

Hurtado dismissed testimonies and evidence that could clarify whether confidential information was leaked by Alberto González Amador, a confessed tax fraudster and partner of Madrid's regional president, Isabel Díaz Ayuso.

The judge's decision has raised concerns about impartiality, as he labeled factual reports by EL PAÍS as mere "opinions.

" Hurtado also declined to investigate whether González Amador authorized the leak of sensitive details to Ayuso's government, which were later manipulated.

Critics argue that the judge's actions undermine efforts to uncover the truth, leaving questions about the integrity of the judicial process.
