Royal Privacy Breach Sparks Legal Action

The Spanish Royal Household has filed a legal complaint against a shopping center in Punta Arenas, Chile, for leaking security camera footage of Princess Leonor.

The images, showing the Princess during her free time while aboard the training ship Juan Sebastián Elcano, were published by a local newspaper.

This marks the first time during King Felipe VI's reign that such legal action has been taken.

The Royal Household, in coordination with the Spanish Embassy in Chile, argues that the release of these images violates data protection laws in both Chile and Spain.

Princess Leonor, currently undergoing military training, has been traveling with the ship since January, making stops in various countries.

The incident highlights the challenges of balancing public interest with personal privacy for the future queen.
