Spain is experiencing a shift in weather patterns as recent heavy rains begin to subside.
The past few days saw intense rainfall, particularly in the Cantabrian region and Catalonia, with temperatures dropping significantly, even causing frost in mountainous areas.
However, the weekend promises a change, with an anticyclone bringing stable weather and rising temperatures across most of the country.
While the north, especially Galicia, will still see some rain, the rest of Spain will enjoy sunnier skies and warmer temperatures, reaching up to 28°C in Alicante and Murcia.
The upcoming week will start with stable weather, but by midweek, the Mediterranean area and the Balearic Islands may experience renewed instability and intense showers.
Meanwhile, the Canary Islands will continue to have moderate to strong trade winds, with clearer skies in the south.
