The 'Special Operation August 1st' began at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, causing significant traffic disruptions across several regions in Spain, including Madrid, Catalonia, Andalusia, Valencia, and Murcia.
The General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) reported multiple accidents, including a major incident on the A-2 highway near Torrejón de Ardoz, leading to two-kilometer traffic jams.
In Barcelona, slow traffic was noted on the C-58 and AP-7, while an ongoing fire in Girona further complicated the situation.
Additionally, two accidents in Málaga on the A-7 and AP-7 have added to the congestion.
Drivers are advised to remain cautious and stay updated on traffic conditions during this busy holiday period.
