Santiago Abascal, leader of Spain's far-right Vox party, is facing an unprecedented internal rebellion.

Nearly 100 current and former members, including regional deputies and councilors, gathered in Madrid to demand accountability and democratic reforms within the party.

The group, which includes prominent figures, accuses the leadership of abandoning Vox's founding principles, suppressing internal democracy, and mismanaging party funds.

They have called for a "refounding congress" to restore transparency and democratic practices.

Critics also condemned the party's alliances and strategic decisions, claiming they have alienated members and voters.

While the group has not announced plans to form a new party, they insist their movement for change is just beginning.
