Juan García-Gallardo, a prominent figure in Spain's far-right Vox party, has resigned from all his political roles, citing internal disagreements.
Once the first Vox leader to hold a regional government position, García-Gallardo criticized the party's leadership under Santiago Abascal for stifling pluralism and centralizing power.
His departure follows the expulsion of two other Vox members in Castilla y León, who had called for internal reforms.
García-Gallardo's resignation marks the end of his three-year political career, during which he played a key role in Vox's first coalition with the conservative People's Party (PP).
This move highlights growing tensions within Vox as it faces challenges in maintaining unity and addressing calls for change.
