A 44-year-old man tragically died from heatstroke in Madrid's Latina district on Monday afternoon.
The incident occurred around 2 PM in a park near Concejal Francisco José Jiménez Martín street.
Emergency services found the man semi-conscious with a body temperature exceeding 41 degrees Celsius.
Despite efforts to stabilize him, he went into cardiac arrest and could not be revived after an hour of CPR.
The victim had pre-existing severe health conditions and was on medication, which may have exacerbated the heatstroke.
This marks the first heat-related death in Madrid this summer, as the city remains under a yellow alert for high temperatures.
Local police assisted emergency teams at the scene.
