Spain is gearing up for its first major heatwave of summer 2024, with temperatures expected to soar across the country.
The national weather agency, AEMET, has issued yellow alerts for several regions, including Aragón, Catalonia, and Valencia, where temperatures could reach up to 38°C (100°F).
The heat is predicted to intensify midweek, potentially pushing thermometers above 40°C (104°F) in many areas.
While most of Spain will experience clear skies and stable conditions, the northwest may see some rainfall.
Experts advise caution as the extreme heat poses health risks, especially for vulnerable populations.
